After MQ silicone resin’s completion, it will fill the capacity gap of Elkem Silicones in this field in the Asia-Pacific region, and will further unblock the downstream of special product industry.
Among them, the 35,000 tons/year special sealant project marks another significant investment for Elkem Silicones to promote the specialization of sealants, green transformation and upgrading, and achieve high-quality development. It will strongly support Elkem Silicones’ future global business growth needs in construction, new energy, electronics and health markets. As a reinforcing agent and tackifier for silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives, MQ silicone resin is a key raw material for various downstream products of silicone, which adopts Elkem’s global mature technology. After being put into production, it will provide solid technology and raw material guarantee for the development of the global pressure-sensitive adhesive business.
